Sounds from Space
The Other Birds have been singing their song since the fall of 2012. Their harmonies ring from a nest built of rhythm and blues, rock & roll and jazz, which this three piece have gathered into a four-song demo called Sounds from Space.

Evelyn Hall, Kaleb Hikele and Jeff Hughes met at a gig in Kensington Market in early 2011. Although they were in separate acts at the time, they immediately began to collaborate in the studio and on the stage. When they decided to form their own group at the end of 2012, the three had already spent two years gigging and recording solo and collective projects. They quickly launched into work on original tunes inspired by musical greats of both popular and classical influence.

Keep your eyes to the sky as The Other Birds perform throughout the summer and set to work on their full length debut.

A Taste of PlumA note from Tanya:

“During Autumn of 2012, I spent a weekend in the Townhouse Recording Facility & Sound Studio with Kaleb Hikele (The Sun Harmonic) recording five demos. Some of these recordings are being used as a reference for my upcoming full-length album (to be released this summer 2013), and others will only be heard on this collection of demos. So bring them into your ears and enjoy.”
